Forecasting a "Yugoslavia-like fate" for Pakistan, the US National Intelligence Council (NIC) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in a jointly prepared Global Futures Assessment Report have said "by year 2015 Pakistan would be a failed state, ripe with civil war, bloodshed, inter-provincial rivalries and a struggle for control of its nuclear weapons and complete Talibanisation".

"Pakistan will not recover easily from decades of political and economic mismanagement, divisive policies, lawlessness, corruption and ethnic friction," said the report quoted by former Pakistan High Commissioner to United Kingdom Wajid Shamsul Hasan in an article in the 'South Asia Tribune'.

What makes this particularly ominous is that although the report was compiled by American intelligence agencies, it has not appeared in any western media other than a blurb in the Washington Times. Certainly the collapse of a nuclear power and key American ally should garner more media attention.

BBC NEWS | South Asia | Pakistan 'is a top failed state'

pakistan is a failed state. In real terms, its no more a state, but a loose coalition of islamic terrorist groups, hich includes isi, pakistan army and the government in equal parts; lead by jihadi outfits like al qaeda and lashkar.

Absolutely correct description of pakistan.

However, when it self destructs, it will cause a lot of turmoil in the world; due to it being hub of terrorism and a nuclear weapons state.
